The object of the ICLS-NAB is to promote the study and criticism of the literature of courts and court-oriented cultures, particularly the medieval literature of Western Europe. The North American Branch actively encourages the involvement of those from all academic disciplines concerned with the study and teaching of courtly literature.
If you share our interests and your principal place of residence or professional activity is in North America or a country that has no ICLS branch, we invite you to become an active member of the ICLS-NAB.
The Society encourages paper-free payment of membership dues. However, you may instead print the 2024 membership form and follow the instructions if you prefer not to use PayPal. Please note that all checks must come from U.S. banks, but PayPal automatically converts other currencies.
The dropdown menu below will display the following membership options. Make your selection and PayPal will guide you the rest of the way. Please be sure the shipping address you select on PayPal is the address at which you wish to receive correspondence from ICLS-NAB.
Encomia has become an open access journal through Garnier, and ICLS-NAB will no longer need to purchase access for members.
Questions about membership should be directed to the ICLS-NAB Secretary/Treasurer, Julie Human, julie.human@uky.edu.

Dhira Mahoney Fund
Dhira Mahoney, a longtime member and secretary/treasurer of the ICLS-NAB, died in 2019. She generously bequeathed $5,000.00 to the International Courtly Literature Society, which we have voted to use to establish recurring research grants in her memory for ICLS-NAB members who do not have access to other research funds. If you would like to contribute, please do so by clicking the “Donate” button below. If you would like to donate but prefer not to use Paypal, please use the membership form to mail your donation.
